Jan. 14th, 2022 08:57 am One of my college instructors died yesterday. My brain is still trying to process this. Strick has at least a decade on my parents and he had spent the last two months in the hospital following surgery for cancer so it shouldn't have been the surprise.
When I was a child, I "knew" I wouldn't live to be a teen or make it to high school. I don't know where I got that idea, but this means my mind tells me everyone will outlive me, yes, even now it says this.

I find myself intrigued by Cain's Jawbone, an 85 year old literary murder mystery where the reader is neither sure of the number of killers nor of the victims. The writer is Edward Powys Mathers who wrote crossword puzzles that exclusively used cryptic clues. I may order this and read it as soon as it arrives.
